Sommer Open Air Feeling beim 24. Schloß Kapfenburg Festival
Das Schloß Kapfenburg lädt im Sommer wieder zu einem musikalischen Highlight der Extraklasse ein. Das 24. Festival findet vom 21. bis zum 30. Juli statt und glänzt mit einer Vielzahl außergewöhnlicher Künstler.
Schon zur Eröffnung des Festival Schloss Kapfenburg am 21. Juli gibt es eine Welturaufführung »El Viaje – die Reise«. Das poetisch-musikalischem Abenteuer aus der Feder von Marcus Englert und Xabier Zeberio erzählt die Geschichte einer Gruppe von Reisenden, die sich in einer fremden und aufregenden Welt gemeinsam auf den Weg ins Ungewisse machen. Rock verschmilzt dabei mit Klassik, die Musik mit Poesie und das Geschehen auf der Bühne mit einer atemberaubenden Licht- und Videoinstallation. Die schwäbisch-baskische Co-Produktion wird von der baskischen Regisseurin Agurtzane Intxaurraga inszeniert, die beteiligten Kunstschaffenden stammen aus beiden Ländern. Neben der Band um Marcus Englert kann sich das Publikum unter anderem auf das Alos-Quartet und Itziar Ituño freuen. Die Schauspielerin ist vielen bekannt als Inspektorin Raquel Murillo alias Lisboa in der Netflix-Serie »Haus des Geldes«.
Schon am nächsten Tag besucht Jan Delay das Schloß. Es gibt in der deutschen Poplandschaft nur wenige Musiker, die eine Karriere wie er vorweisen – voller Überraschungen, Vielfalt und jahrzehntlangem Erfolg. Bekannt wurde Jan Philip Eißfeldt, so Delays bürgerlicher Name, Anfang der 90er mit der Formation Absolute Beginner, 2001 erschien dann sein erstes Soloalbum. Die folgende Soloplatte »Mercedes-Dance« mit Songs wie »Klar« und »Für immer und dich« ging schließlich 2006 durch die Decke, es war die erste Zusammenarbeit mit seiner neuen Band Disko No. 1. Sie begeistern bis heute. Denn da ist viel Disco, Funk und Soul, da sind Reggae, Rock und Trap, dazu eine Brise Hip-Hop, Afrobeats und Ska. Da sind Delays einzigartige Gesangsstimme, seine treffsichere Reimkunst und sein feiner Sinn für knackige Slogans. Und da ist eine hart erspielte Tatsache: Es gibt hierzulande schlichtweg keine bessere Live-Band als Disko No. 1 und ihren stylischen MC Jan Delay.
»Nine Million Bicycles«, »The Closest Thing To Crazy«, oder »Piece By Piece« –Katie Meluas glasklare Stimme und eindringlichen Songs haben die georgisch-britische Sängerin zum Weltstar gemacht. Neben den bekannten Hits hat die frischgebackene Mutter bei ihrem Festivalauftritt am 25. Juli, dann auch viele Lieder aus ihrem neuen Album »Love and Money« im Gepäck.
Am Mittwoch, den 26. Juli darf sich das Publikum auf Konstantin Wecker freuen. Er wird 75 – und feiert diese stolze Zahl gemeinsam mit seinen Fans bei der Jubiläumstour »Ich singe, weil ich ein Lied hab«“. Der bekennende Pazifist und Lebensgenießer präsentiert mit seiner Band eine Rückblende. Klassiker wie »Frieden im Land«, »Wenn der Sommer nicht mehr weit ist« oder »Sage nein!« verbindet er dabei mit neuen Liedern, Gedichten und Gedanken. Denn Konstantin Wecker hat nie aufgehört von einer herrschaftsfreien und gewaltlosen Welt zu träumen. Und das wird auch auf seiner Jubiläumstour nicht tun, die seine unbändige Lust und Hingabe einmal mehr in all ihren Facetten leuchten lassen wird.
»Der letzte Torero – Big L.A. Show«, ist nicht nur der Name des neuen Albums von Helge Schneider, es ist auch der Titel seiner Tour. Und mit der ist er am 27. Juli zu Gast beim Festival Schloss Kapfenburg. Das Gesamtkunstwerk Schneider wird sich dann in die Herzen der Menschen singen, tanzen, trommeln, trompeten und spielen. Und er wird sie zum Lachen bringen, wie nur er es kann.
Zum großen Abschluss des Festivals am 30. Juli ist LaBrassBanda zurück auf Schloss Kapfenburg! Auf ihrer Brass Fire Tour vermengen die Musiker gewohnt brillant bayerische Volksmusik, Reggae, Brass und Ska-Punk zu einem einzigartigen Sound, der sofort in die Beine geht und Generationen vereint.
