Seit 2002 ist das international gefragte Württembergische Kammerorchester Heilbronn beim Kultursommer zu Gast. Für das diesjährige Eröffnungskonzert haben sie ein ganz besonders interessantes Programm und hochkarätige Solisten mitgebracht. Die Faszination für ungarische Volksmusik war bei Johannes Brahms unverkennbar. Die beiden Austro-Ungarn Daniel Ottensamer, Soloklarinettist der Wiener Philharmoniker, und Stephan Koncz, Cellist der Berliner Philharmoniker und heutiger Dirigent, gehen dieser Anziehung auf den Grund.
